The technical issues that plagued the Sochi Olympic rings during the opening ceremony last week continue to get online attention. In the latest example, an ad purporting to be for German automaker Audi showed up on the top of Reddit on Monday with the tagline "*When four rings is all you need."

Despite its creativity, the ad is not real.

"This is not an official ad... it is most likely from an Audi fan," a representative from the company confirmed to technology site Mashable on Tuesday.
