Armed men stormed Donetsk's main ice-hockey arena and set it ablaze early Tuesday, according to the mayor's office.

The Druzhba arena, home to the Donbass club, had been earmarked to host several games during the 2015 world championships.

Ukraine said it had recaptured the city's airport following an overnight fight with separatists who had seized control on Monday.
