Secretary of State John Kerry welcomed Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to the American Embassy residence in London Friday as the pair met for talks on the crisis in Ukraine.
"Obviously, we have a lot to talk about," Kerry told reporters as he stood alongside Lavrov before the talks began. "I look forward to the opportunity to dig into the issues and possibilities that we may be able to find about how to move forward together."
Lavrov, who spoke through an interpreter, acknowledged that the situation was difficult. "Many events have happened and a lot of time has been lost, so now we have to think what can be done," he said.
