The U.S. ambassador to Ukraine warned Thursday that Kiev faced even tougher sanctions following another day of deadly clashes between riot police and protesters.

Geoffrey Pyatt's comments came after the U.S. imposed a travel ban on 20 senior Ukrainian officials Wednesday.
