Though Tuesday’s state dinner will be in honor of France, the menu will celebrate “the best of American cuisine,” according to the White House. Attendees will be treated to First Lady Michelle Obama’s signature dish, “The Winter Garden Salad,” featuring ingredients picked from the White House garden. The main course will be dry-aged rib eye beef. See the full menu here. Wines from around the country, including one from Monticello in Virginia where President Obama and French President Francois Hollande visited Monday, will be served throughout the night. Here’s a behind the scenes video from the White House about what went into the menu.
