The Winklevoss twins have launched a new product and it's called the WinkDex. No, it's not an index of how many times they wink slyly at people in the Hamptons. Instead, it's an iOS app that monitors the price of bitcoin in real time, as averaged from several bitcoin exchanges. It can also convert bitcoins to U.S. dollars and displays charts mapping the ups and downs of the digital currency. Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss are no strangers to bitcoin. In 2013, the pair told the New York Times that they owned $11 million worth of the digital currency. The value of bitcoin has swung wildly since then, surging past $1,000 in November 2013 to less than $400 today. The Winklevoss twins, or "Winklevii," as they are colloquially known, are famous for rowing boats, suing Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and expressing their anger at him through pistachio commercials.
