We normally like to round up the latest and greatest tech deals in one daily post, but we couldn't resist sharing this particular one right away: Microsoft is offering a free Xbox 360 to any student who purchases a Windows PC priced at over $699.
(Msnbc.com is a joint venture of Microsoft and NBC Universal.)
The catch is that the student has to purchase the computer after May 22 through a "participating retailer." (A list of the retailers who will honor the offer can be found at www.windows.com/freexbox.) Student status will also need to be verified — presumably with a .edu email address — in order to seal the deal. The end date and quantity limitations for the offer vary based on each retailer.
