Waiting for 'Plants vs. Zombies 2'? Try 'Talking Zombatar'

The following conversation took place only in my head. In case you couldn't tell.

Dear PopCap Games,

No pressure or anything, but how much longer must we wait for "Plants vs. Zombies 2"? No really. It's been three whole years since you launched the first "Plants vs. Zombies" game. It's, like, perhaps the greatest tower defense game of all time. So we really really really want to see what you're cooking up for the sequel. Don't you understand, this waiting thing is really hard!

Impatiently yours,

Winda

Dear Winda,

None of your beeswax. But while you're busy waiting around, you can while away your time with a new "Plants vs. Zombies"-themed app we're making for smartphones and tablets. It's called "PvZ Presents: Talking Zombatar." See, with this app you get your very own pet zombie. You can dress him up. You can make him say anything you want. You can even make him dance. Oh and it's going to be free (except, you know, for those in-app purchases). Yeah, it's a departure for us. But it sounds amusing, right? I mean, c'mon, who doesn't want their own "PvZ" zombie?!

Sincerely,

PopCap Games

P.S. Oh, uhm, sooorry,  you'll have to wait for that too. We'll launch "Talking Zombatar" uhm ... let's just say sometime "later this year."

Dear PopCap Games,

When I get my "Talking Zombatar," the first thing I'm going to make him say is, "Where's my 'Plants vs Zombies 2?" Yeah, take THAT.

Sincerely,

Winda

While the conversation may have been in my head, the information about "Talking Zombatar" is for real. PopCap Games told me so. Look, they even sent me this "Talking Zombatar" trailer for us to enjoy while we wait for the real thing:
