Founder Tony Díaz created "Nuestra Palabra" 18 years ago to celebrate Mexican, Chicano and Latino authors. The organization is best known for transporting books from Mexican-American authors with Latino themes into Tucson, Arizona, after the 2010 law that banned Mexican-American studies in public schools.
