20 years later, medical examiner’s office still committed to identifying September 11 victims (Part 2)


For the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner, the technology to identify victims has improved over the last two decades, which include extracting DNA from bone fragments. The lab will soon begin to use newer, more sensitive technology that will give them an even better chance of making an identification.
