Harvard students call for university to divest from prison industry


Harvard University students are calling for their school’s endowment to be divested from the prison industry and put the money towards communities that have historically been disproportionately impacted by policing and incarceration. Prison divestment is the first step, members of the campaign say, towards the larger goal of prison abolition.
