Human rights groups have criticized Bangladesh for moving thousands of Rohingya refugees to a remote island off the coast of India. The refugees have fled from persecution in neighboring Myanmar. Bangladesh says it has to alleviate overcrowding in camps along the border, but the island has never been inhabited before.
