Dallas woman’s death sparks action to curb domestic violence

The murder of Karen Cox Smith by her husband allegedly sparked both her family and the mayor of Dallas, Texas to work to curb the rising number of domestic violence cases in Dallas. At the time of Karen’s murder, police had a warrant for her husband’s arrest, but the warrant was never served because of a case backlog. Kate Snow reports.May 18, 2013
