Domestic violence victim’s 911 call ignored, says family

Deanna Cook called 911 on the day she was allegedly killed by her ex-husband. Despite pleading for her life on the call, it took 50 minutes for police to arrive. The family says her death exposes a larger problem – a broken emergency response system that fails to take domestic violence seriously, especially in minority neighborhoods.
