Experts fear locusts are driving East Africa into food insecurity


Pastoralists in the scrublands of northern Kenya are struggling to maintain their livestock after months of locust infestations. Swarms of the bugs have plagued the region all year and the United Nations fears it could result in severe food insecurity as crops are destroyed and livestock fail to get enough to eat.
