Fake tweet temporarily sinks stocks


When the Associated Press’ Twitter account got hacked on Tuesday, a fake message that Barack Obama was injured in two White House explosions went out to the AP’s 1.9 million followers and was retweeted almost 5,000 times within a minute. The Dow plunged, dropping more than 140 points as computers that scan headlines sold shares. NBC’s Lisa Myers reports.
