Ashley Henley, a former Mississippi state representative, was shot in the head while cutting grass outside of a trailer in the Water Valley Boat Landing community. Henley’s husband said his wife was, “a voice for people who didn’t have a voice.” Henley represented the 40th district from 2016 to 2020.
