In Limbo: Famed historian becomes ‘permanent patient’

Fatima Khydarova, a professor from Uzbekistan, has been at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., for more than two years after suffering an incapacitating stroke while visiting her grandchildren.  She's one of thousands of “permanent patients” stuck in hospitals due to current health care laws.  In an interview with Rock Center’s Kate Snow, Khydarova’s granddaughters recall the famed life their grandmother once lived.
