Parent trying to stop adopted 4 year old’s deportation: ‘This has never been about politics’
The adoptive parents of Angela Becerra, a 4-year-old girl from Peru, have been fighting a legal battle to keep their daughter from being deported. Their case gained the support of Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Colo., and he appeared with Angela’s adoptive mother Amy Becerra in a press conference announcing the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services had reversed its decision to deny Angela’s residency.
