Rev. Jasper Williams Jr. spoke out saying that critics, “Didn't understand,” what he was saying during parts of his eulogy at Aretha Franklin’s funeral. Williams’ speech appeared to deride black mothers and the response to police violence against African-Americans. Williams is the pastor emeritus of Salem Bible Church in Atlanta, who also delivered the eulogy for Franklin’s late father in 1984.
