Resettled Refugee, ISIS Attack Survivor Finds Hope in Boxing

Growing up in Baghdad, Mohammed A. dreamed of traveling the world as a professional boxer, but struggled to secure a visa to leave the country. When ISIS spread into Iraq, he began helping his brother in his work as a U.S. Army interpreter. But after he says he suffered an attack on his life, Mohammed eventually fled Iraq and joined other refugees who were resettled in Tukwila, Washington, where he's now studying to be an EMT and continues to box.May 21, 2018
