Teen diabetes on the rise in US

Between 1999 and 2008, the percentage of adolescents ages 12 to 19 with diabetes or prediabetes increased from 9 percent to 23 percent, according to a new study from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. NBC’s Erika Edwards reports.
