For the first time since January of 2021, both former President Trump and Vice President Pence are in Washington D.C. It’s the latest battleground in the proxy war – as they vie to convince GOP voters of their vision for the future of the party. NBC News Correspondent Vaughn Hillyard reports on their respective messages, where the former president focused on crime in America and the former vice president criticized Republicans for complaining about the past.
