Ukrainian government exchanges prisoners with pro-Russian rebels

Ukraine’s government released 124 pro-Russian rebel prisoners in exchange for 74 people being held in two breakaway regions of the country’s east. The swap was part of an agreement brokered between Ukraine’s new President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin. It’s hoped it could presage further negotiations to end the separatist war in Ukraine.
