A recent Harvard study estimated that more than 4,000 people may have died in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. The interruption in resources like electricity and utility services after hurricanes is a reality understood by the volunteers who stay and help the communities, even as news coverage dissipates. Would you skip your vacation to help rebuild? We met with All Hands and Hearts volunteers who have found a calling in their work in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
