We’re in the final stretch of Prime Big Deal Days — the 48-hour sale, which is exclusive to Prime members, ends tonight at midnight. There are still plenty of discounts available on tech, beauty, household essentials and more, including laptops from Mac, Dell and Acer.
I frequently cover shopping events like Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday as a writer for NBC Select, so I know how to find deals that are actually worth buying. I spent weeks combing through thousands of discounts to find the best October Prime Day tech deals — each one I recommend below is highly rated and 20% off or more, as well as at its lowest price in at least three months or lowest price ever. I’ll frequently update this list throughout Prime Big Deal Days.

Best October Prime Day laptops deals
The MacBook Air is my go-to travel laptop — it’s sleek, slim, lightweight and powerful enough for most tasks. This version has Apple’s latest M4 chip inside, which has improved performance compared to previous models. It also has a new webcam that can keep you centered during video calls.
The 15-inch MacBook Air is a better fit for anyone who works with photos, videos or spreadsheets often — the extra screen real estate makes productivity easier, in my experience. While this model is only 17% off, it’s matching the best price we’ve seen.
Asus Vivobook Go 15.6”
This low-priced laptop from Asus is well-suited to basic tasks like research, watching videos and hopping on video calls. It gets up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge, and has a physical shutter over the built-in webcam for when you’re not using it.
Chromebooks are some of the most affordable laptops you can buy, especially when they are on sale like this one. This 14-inch Acer laptop has a 1080p resolution screen and ChromeOS built-in — it’s best for using Google apps like Gmail, Google Docs, YouTube and Gemini. It’s not powerful enough for more complex work, though.
A gaming laptop doesn’t have to cost a fortune — this one is under $600 and is at its lowest price ever. It has a fast 15.6-inch screen and advanced RTX 4050 graphics card that are both well-suited to fast action games.
Similar to the Asus Vivobook, this 15-inch laptop from Dell can handle most basic tasks easily, and has a full number pad on the keyboard that’s handy for spreadsheet work. It also has multiple USB-A ports, along with an HDMI slot and a port to insert an SD card.
