MISSING IN AMERICA: Elizabeth Sullivan

A text message on October 13th was the last time anyone heard from Navy wife and mother Elizabeth Sullivan. Can you help?

Navy wife and mother of two Elizabeth “Liz” Sullivan vanished on October 13th, 2014 near her home in San Diego.

A text message was the last contact Elizabeth made before she disappeared. Since then, her phone has been turned off. Police also say her vehicle was found at her home.

Several days after the 31-year-old was reported missing, police confirmed someone reported seeing her at a local soccer field, but since then there have been no new leads.

Elizabeth’s family and friends have rallied around to try and find the young mother who they believe is in trouble. They have set up the Facebook page, Missing: Navy Wife and Mother Liz Ricks-Sullivan, and her father, Edward Ricks, traveled to San Diego from his home in Virginia to help in the search efforts.

“It can happen to you. When it does, it gets very personal, and it takes on a whole new light when it happens to you," Ricks told local NBC affiliate NBC 7. "You get a strength like you never had before because that's my daughter and I'm bringing her home.”

Elizabeth is described as 5’3”, 130lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information that could help in the case, please contact the San Diego Police Department Missing Persons Section at (619) 531-2277.
