Police confirmed Tuesday morning that a missing Illinois mother, who was last seen leaving for work, has been found safe.

Darcey Cottrell, who disappeared on June 1, was pulled over in another state on a traffic stop Tuesday morning, Commander Jane McFadden of the Danville Police Department told Dateline.

"She told officers that she was fine and not in any danger," Commander McFadden said. "They provided us with a local address which we passed along to her family."

Cottrell, 34, left her home in Danville, Illinois around 2:30 p.m. on June 1 in a green Ford Ranger borrowed from her father. The mother of two was supposedly headed to Discount Tobacco Warehouse, where she's worked for the past two years. When she did not arrive and did not return home, she was reported missing.
