LOS ANGELES, Oct. 30, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- According to the California Department of Transportation, the on-ramp to the eastbound I-105 from southbound Sepulveda Boulevard at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will be closed for restriping. The closure will affect the two lanes leading to the on-ramp and to westbound Imperial Highway from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010.

The restriping is being performed by Caltrans as an interim solution to a continuing problem with accidents that occur on this on-ramp during inclement weather, resulting in ramp closure. Motorists wishing to access eastbound I-105 and bypass possible congestion in the Sepulveda Tunnel can take Century Boulevard west to southbound Aviation Boulevard to reach the Imperial Highway on-ramp to eastbound I-105.
