Classrooms at Fairview Elementary School in Anchorage are being treated with high heat to kill bedbugs.
KTUU reports school district officials met Thursday to address the problem.
Superintendent Carol Comeau says there have been individual cases of bed bugs at a couple of schools since the start of the year, but multiple children at Fairview had bugs and bites.
Comeau is asking parents to check their children for little red bites.
