IRVINE, Calif., March 4, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Universal Bioenergy Inc. (Pink Sheets:UBRG), a publicly traded alternative energy company, announced its NDR Energy Group in Charlotte had sales of $18.3 million, and sales volume of 4.10 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas for the months of January and February. NDR Energy Group completed sales of $8.9 million for January, with sales volumes of 2.2 Bcf, and estimated sales of $9.4 million for February, with sales volumes of 1.9 Bcf.
NDR Energy Group's President Gina Roy stated, "We're very excited about our sales this year. One of our paramount goals during the first quarter of 2011 is higher sales revenues and volumes. Last year we sold over $50 million in gas, or an average of $4.16 million monthly. For the first two months of this year, we sold an average of $9.15 million monthly. We've already exceeded last year's monthly average by over 100%. If we consistently achieve those monthly sales, we could potentially generate sales of over $100 million this year. Achieving that goal will confirm the effectiveness of our newly implemented marketing strategy. We have recently achieved substantial benchmarks at NDR related to sales volume. Now, we're laying the foundation for a much larger and more diverse customer base. We intend to supply our customers, in part, through our own gas supplies from the wellhead, through our relationship with Texas Gulf Oil & Gas. Focusing on increased sales volume with our current utility customers, and obtaining new sales opportunities with commercial and industrial customers, should generate greater profits for 2011 and beyond."
