WINDSOR, Conn., March 29, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SS&C Technologies (Nasdaq:SSNC), a global provider of investment and financial software-enabled services and software, today announced the addition of the FASB Accounting Standards Codification course to its Zoologic Learning Solutions web-based course library.
SS&C's Zoologic FASB Accounting Standards Codification course is aimed at individuals with a working knowledge of financial statement analysis who are interested in learning how the Codification is changing the way GAAP is referenced in financial statement notes and disclosures. This course will explain the Codification, discuss the reasons FASB created the Codification, outline the structure of the Codification hierarchy, and explain how to reference accounting standards in financial statements according to the Codification.

In addition to joining more than 760 web-based courses in the Zoologic course library, the FASB Accounting Standards Codification course is also the most recent addition to the Accounting suite of courses. Zoologic's Accounting course suite provides an introduction to the discipline of accounting, specifically from the viewpoint of a financial analyst. The courses introduce learners to the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, and provide an overview of other key accounting concepts.
