DENVER, June 9, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PDC Energy (the "Company" or "PDC") (Nasdaq:PETD) today announced the appointment of Ron Wirth to the position of Director of Investor Relations. Mr. Wirth will be responsible for all Investor Relations functions of the Company.
Mr. Wirth has approximately 20 years of investor relations experience in the energy business in Denver. Prior to PDC, Ron provided consulting services to small and medium-sized companies and also served as Vice-President of Investor Relations and Administration for Teton Energy for approximately one and one-half years. Previously, Ron served for 16 years as the Director of Investor Relations for Western Gas Resources, Inc. including four years as Treasurer and head of all administrative functions. During his tenure, Western grew from $250 million to a $4 billion market value company. At Western Gas, Ron handled all financial communication activities, including investor, media and public relations, while being the main contact for Wall Street analysts, portfolio managers, stockbrokers, and individual investors.
Mr. Wirth has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Illinois.
