With the impending release of the final film, Harry Potter's adventures with Hermione and Ron Weasley are finally coming to an end. Unfortunately, as the movie gets closer to hitting theaters, fans of the saga may get more than they bargain for when looking for movie details online.

Experts and the security firm Symantec have spotted scam emails offering free tickets to the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," scheduled for a July 15 release.

The scam, from "Movie Tickets," reads "Hurry and claim your tickets now for this summer's biggest blockbuster," followed by a link.

Symantec does not say where the link directs users, but given past examples of cybercriminals using Harry Potter as bait, it's likely that following the free ticket scam will take users to Web pages that attempt to trick them into divulging their personal information.
