The "Snoreaster," Hurricane Sandy, is coming up the East Coast. If it's as big as people fear, you may find yourself with time to kill while you wait it out. So why not rock out?

Just mention "rain" or "storm," and your friends can probably come up with a flood (so to speak) of popular songs — from "Purple Rain" to "Singing in the Rain," from "Rock You Like a Hurricane" to "Riders on the Storm."

It's easy to complain about the rain (and gale-force winds), but since you're stuck with it, celebrate Mother Nature's power with some of the best rainy day tunes ever. After all, as the song goes "Cryin's not for me 'cause I'm never gonna stop the rainin' by complainin'."
