It's the end of an era at NBC News as correspondents Robert Hager and Fred Francis retire from the network. Hager began his career more than 35 years ago covering hurricanes, air crashes, Vietnam, political unrest, the federal agency beat and some features along the way. His reporting has taken him around the world — to the former Soviet Union, Europe, Central America and the Far East. Francis began his career in 1975 and was one of the first reporters to go to Guyana in 1978 to cover the mass suicide of the Jim Jones cult. Together with the "Today" show, “Nightly News” looks back at Bob and Fred’s distinguished network careers.
