1. Dozens Killed as Death Toll Climbs in France Attack

The death toll continued to climb to at least 84 Friday as forensics teams combed the scene where a truck driver mowed down dozens of revelers after a fireworks display at the seaside city of Nice. French media said ID papers belonging to a French-Tunisian were found in the truck. By early Friday, no terror group had claimed responsibility for the attack. Read more in NEWS.

2. American Dad, Young Son Among Dead in Nice

The victims were Texas residents identified as Sean Copeland and his 11-year-old son, Brodie. The family said they were "heartbroken and in shock over the loss of Brodie Copeland, an amazing son and brother who lit up our lives, and Sean Copeland, a wonderful husband and father." 3. American Recounts 'Pathway of Bodies' After Fireworks

A San Diego woman who witnessed Thursday night's deadly attack in Nice said the driver went "full speed" over the crowd for at least two to three miles. "I can't even tell you how many people I saw die in front of my eyes," she said. Read more at NBC SAN DIEGO.
