The Zumba instructor who was convicted earlier this year of running a prostitution business out of her Maine studio was released from jail early Saturday morning.
Alexis Wright, 30, walked quickly out of the York County Jail in Alfred, Maine, at 9:45 a.m. wearing a gray suit and toting a stack of folders.
"I have no comment," she told reporters.
In May, Wright was convicted of running and operating a lucrative prostitution business with partner Mark Strong, 58. She was also found guilty on several welfare- and tax-related charges.
According to police, Strong watched the sexual encounters unfold in real time on a computer in his insurance business office.
Police officers became suspicious of Wright earlier this year after fielding complaints about groaning, loud music and men coming and going from an office Wright rented across the street from her studio.
York County Sheriff Moe Ouellette said Wright's sentence was shortened due to good behavior and her time working in the laundry room at the jail while she was incarcerated, NBC Bangor reported.
Detailed records over an 18-month period indicated Wright made $150,000 tax-free, the Associated Press reports. She also collected more than $40,000 in welfare benefits, prosecutors said.
Strong served 20 days in jail for his participation in the prostitution business and admitted to having an affair with Wright.
