A Washington teenager wrote in her journal "If you're reading this, I'm either missing or dead" shortly before she vanished last month, her mother said Monday.
Angelic Tracy "Anji" Dean, 17, of Camas, a city over the Washington line northeast of Portland, Oregon, left behind her wallet, bank cards and glasses when she vanished June 23. Her parents told NBC station KGW of Portland that they fear she has become a victim of sex trafficking. Lynda Jorgenson, Anji's mother, said the chilling message wasn't found in Anji's journal until after she disappeared.
Police said they believe Anji is still somewhere in the greater Portland area. A neighbor said she saw the teen getting out of a blue Volvo filled with people.
