The New Jersey honor student who left home then sued her parents over paying for college has reunited with her family, the parents' attorney Angela Sarno said Wednesday.
Rachel Canning had said she was kicked out of the house after she turned 18 and moved in with her friend’s family, a local politician who funded her lawsuit.
Earlier this month, a judge in Morristown denied her immediate request for financial support and recommended family counseling pending a trial.
Sarno, the attorney for Sean and Elizabeth Canning, said Wednesday the teen had moved home without conditions.
“Her return home is not contingent on any financial and/or other considerations,” Sarno wrote in a news release.
A cheerleader and lacrosse player who hopes to become a biomedical engineer, Canning had sought money to support herself and wanted the court to force her parents to pay for her college education.
