The tap water from Portland, Oregon's reservoirs has gotten a clean bill of health.

Portland Water Bureau officials said Saturday that a follow-up test of the city’s drinking water showed it isn’t contaminated with harmful bacteria — and residents no longer have to boil it first.

The announcement comes a day after officials said they found E. coli in water samples.

There were no immediate reports that anyone had been sickened by the tap water. About 670,000 customers in and around Portland were affected by the order.
