Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said Monday he will announce whether or not he will run for president on April 13.

Over the weekend, advisers to the freshman senator confirmed to NBC News that he would likely announce his presidential candidacy on that date. But in appearance on Fox News, Rubio would only say, “I will announce on April 13 what I’m going to do next in terms of running for president or the U.S. Senate.”

Aides close to Rubio said he was eyeing “The Freedom Tower” in Miami to kick off his 2016 bid, but other venues significant to the Cuban American community are also being considered.

Rubio would become the third candidate to officially enter the 2016 race, if he announces in two weeks. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz announced his candidacy last Monday, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has blocked off April 7 for his anticipated announcement.
