Former Florida governor and potential 2016 presidential candidate Jeb Bush weighed into New Hampshire politics on Monday, endorsing Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown.
While Bush’s support for Brown is hardly a surprise, it is significant since the Granite State holds the first presidential primary and draws the attention of White House hopefuls well before they declare their candidacy.
Earlier this month Mitt Romney held a rally for Brown where he announced his second presidential run in 2011. Bush’s support came with a simple tweet at a fundraiser.
Brown is challenging incumbent Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.
