Former NBA star Lamar Odom has been transferred from a Los Angeles hospital to a private facility, his family announced Friday.
"It is with extreme gratitude and appreciation to all of you around the world who have prayed without ceasing for Lamar, that we announce his transition to the next stage of his miraculous recovery at a new facility," Alvina Alston, publicist for Odom's aunt JaNean Mercer, said in a statement. "Lamar continues to make remarkable strides."
The former Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers star was found unconscious in October at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada. Odom, 36, had multiple drugs in his system at the time, according to medical personnel.
No additional details were provided about Odom's current condition.
In November, Odom's estranged wife Khloé Kardashian, said he was "doing better every day," but that it was "going to be a long road."
In the statement, Odom's family said fans' "support has been paramount in helping to uplift us during these past few difficult months."
Odom was transferred from Las Vegas to a Los Angeles hospital in October, at which time his family said he was undergoing an "aggressive" therapy regimen and was "beginning to gradually flourish both mentally and physically."
