Rap Star Sean Price Dies at 43, Record Label Confirms

No cause of death was reported for the star who formed half of the seminal 1990s New York duo Heltah Skeltah.

Rap and hiphop star Sean Price — who as Ruck formed half of the seminal 1990s New York duo Heltah Skeltah — died Saturday, his record label confirmed.

Price was found dead Saturday morning in his Brooklyn apartment, Duck Down Music said, confirming an Instagram post by DJ Premier of PRhyme.

No cause of death was reported.

Price, who also performed in Boot Camp Clik and Random Axe and carved out a prominent solo career under his own name, was 43 and is survived by his wife and three children, Duck Down said. His latest project, "Songs in the Key of Price," is due to be released Aug. 21.
