Bank of America restored its online banking services after being temporarily unavailable for about an hour on Monday afternoon.

The bank confirmed to CNBC that consumer banking services were back up and running.

Earlier, the bank had told CNBC that it was aware of the access issue for some customers and was working quickly to resolve it.

Some users had also reported issues with the company's mobile app, though a CNBC test still allowed transfer of money between accounts.

Shares remained largely unaffected, up nearly 1 percent in afternoon trading.
