Apparel and footwear launches

The Triumph is one of NBC Select reporter Zoe Malin’s all-time favorite running sneakers, and the brand just updated it to be more comfortable and lightweight. It’s made with a new type of foam that upgrades the shoe’s cushioning so it feels softer and absorbs more energy when you land, according to the brand. Saucony also added more cushioning to the Triumph 24 compared to its predecessor, yet decreased its weight by 0.4 ounces — that may seem like a tiny difference, but in the running shoe world, any amount of less weight is a big deal. The sneakers also have rubber outsoles and mesh uppers for breathability.

“One of the reasons I’ve gravitated toward the Triumphs for so long is because I can wear them for runs of any distance and feel supported, which is rarely the case,” says Malin. “The Triumph 24 is visibly more cushioned and it feels plusher, but it’s not heavier or bulkier at all, keeping my feet happy whether I’m doing a 5K or half marathon. There was also absolutely no break-in period — I put these on and ran 7 miles in them.”

Nobull iterated on its Outwork training shoe (which Malin wears at the gym multiple times a week) to design the Outwork Flex, a more flexible version of the original. It makes you feel just as stable and has the same level of durability and traction, but it bends more easily in some areas, which makes it more versatile across exercises. The Outwork Flex also has a wider platform that helps you spread your toes out and grip the ground beneath you. There’s a breathable mesh upper, a roomy toe box and a padded collar and tongue, too.

The Oura Ring is the best smart ring on the market, according to NBC Select reporter Harry Rabinowitz, so this launch is a big deal. The headline upgrade: Oura Ring 5 is 40 percent smaller than the Oura Ring 4. Despite its much slimmer, smaller size, it gets between six and nine days of battery life (up from five to eight for the Oura Ring 4).

“I’ve been wearing the Oura Ring 5 for about a week, and the difference in size compared to the Ring 4 is absolutely noticeable,” says Rabinowitz. “I always found the Oura Ring 4 bulky, but the Oura Ring 5 has felt much more comfortable day to day.” Rabinowitz will need more time to test tracking accuracy and battery life, but initial impressions are positive.

Oura highly recommends buying an Oura Ring 5 Sizing Kit before purchasing a ring to ensure the best fit, even if you are coming from an Oura Ring 4 or 3.

If you love the idea of a smart ring but can’t add another subscription to your life, Ringconn is the brand to go for, and it just launched the Ringconn Gen 3 smart ring. The new ring has blood pressure trend monitoring and a vibration motor that can buzz for specific Ringconn alerts. It gets up to a whopping 14 days of battery life, plus it comes with a wireless charging case (Oura Ring’s wireless charging cases are sold separately.)

Shokz makes many of our favorite open earbuds and workout headphones. This latest launch is a pair of open ear, clip-on earbuds that wrap around the outside of your ears, leaving the rest of your ears and head free for glasses and hats. What’s most interesting about these is the $130 price, says Rabinowitz — most other clip-on earbuds from big name brands cost $200 (Shokz OpenDots 2) or $300 (Bose Ultra Open Earbuds) . The earbuds get up to nine hours of battery on a single charge and up to 36 hours with the charging case.

Beauty launches

It’s always a viral moment when Rhode drops a new product, and this one is perhaps one of the most exciting yet: The cream bronzer comes in the brand’s iconic pocket-sized packaging and is available in eight shades. Rhode also launched the Highlight Milk, which is made from the brand’s signature Glazing Milk formula (you can add it to your bare skin or mix it with your makeup to create a naturally luminous finish).

More from Rhode’s June drop includes the double-ended Pocket Brush to apply your bronzer and luminizer while on the go, three new bronzy shades of the Peptide Lip Tint and the Peptide Lip Shape (liner), the Terry Towel and the Terry Bag (waitlist).

Made for dry, brittle hair, this hair mask has glycerin and argan oil to smooth hair and lock in moisture. It also reduces frizz, adds shine and has a non-greasy and lightweight whipped texture, so it won’t weigh down your hair. Plus, it has Redken’s iconic citrus, muguet, pear and honey scent (which is one of NBC Select editor Mili Godio’s favorites).

This milky serum is the latest addition in Cocokind’s electrolyte collection, which includes its popular Calming Magnesium Mist and Electrolyte Water Cream. “I have very sensitive skin, so any time I use a new skin care product, I have to be very careful. I knew there wouldn’t be a problem with this serum from the moment I put it on; it’s light, fragrance-free and immediately calmed my redness,” says Godio. “It also doesn’t have a sticky, tacky feel after I apply it, which is a huge plus.”

The Ninja AutoBarista Pro is the brand’s first entirely automatic espresso machine and it’s perfect for coffee aficionados. With 50 grind settings, the appliance allows you to customize how the coffee is processed, ultimately determining how the coffee tastes. It brews two shots of espresso at the same time, makes multiple espresso-based drinks, including cappuccinos, cold brew and lattes, and it lets you adjust the temperature of the espresso. Plus, it has a milk frother for steaming and making cold foam.

This is Dyson’s newest, most premium cordless vacuum, with the brand’s most powerful suction yet. The vacuum recognizes which attachment you are using, the floor type and the level of debris its cleaning and adjusts the motor accordingly. Rabinowitz just got his hands on the vacuum a few days ago, but is impressed so far. “I’ve been using the 2018 Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal for more than six years — the difference in suction, battery life and convenient little features in the V16 is huge by comparison.”

Like the previous Dyson V15 and Dyson Gen5detect, it has HEPA filtration, easily removable (and rechargeable) batteries with 70 minute runtime and simple button controls. It comes with four cleaning tools in the box, including the new All Floor Cones and Hair Screw Tool 2.0 heads.

Canopy’s Sound Machine + Aroma is a travel noise machine, nightlight and diffuser in one, letting you take all the components of a soothing slumber on the go. The device is slightly bigger than the palm of your hand, and you can choose from 15 sounds and two optional, dimmable light modes. Plus, it has three auto-off timer settings, or you can use it continuously. There’s also a built-in aroma diffuser you can add essential oils to. The sound machine’s battery lasts for up to 15 hours on a full charge, according to the brand.

“I can’t sleep without a noise machine, so I’ve used my fair share of travel options over the years, but Canopy’s new one is my favorite so far,” says Malin, who brought it on a week-long trip before it launched (the brand sent her one to try out). “The main reason why is simple: It has a clip that lets you hang it from anywhere (including a stroller or crib), and you can remove the clip and attach it to the bottom of the device to prop it up on your nightstand.

I loved being able to stand it up and change its settings by reaching over when I’m laying in bed. The built-in aroma diffuser is also an incredible addition. I added relaxing lavender before bed and peppermint in the morning to wake me up.”

FIFA World Cup 2026 launches

With the World Cup finally upon us, Hollister is joining in on the global soccer frenzy with the World of Soccer Collection, an apparel line of unisex World Cup clothing that lets you stylishly support your team. This graphic T-shirt includes a creative twist on the traditional soccer tee, with illustrations representing participation countries and host cities alike. The shirt is made from soft, 100% cotton and has a slightly faded wash for a comfortable feel, according to the brand, and a worn-in look. You can also shop women’s tees, tank tops, hoodies and more from the collection.
