Dick Clark’s home fits into a category of houses that are so customized and unusual, they appeal to a certain subset of buyers — such as people who like "Flintstones"-esque architecture. Clark’s home, located at 10124 Pacific View Rd, Malibu, CA 90265, was listed in March 2012 for $3.5 million and just received a $250,000 cut in price, bringing it down to $3.25 million.

Described as an “imaginative architectural creation,” the cavern-like home sits on 22 primo acres atop a mountain, lending itself to generous views of the Pacific Ocean, Channel Island, Boney Mountain and Serrano Valley. Completely private, as most celebrity homes are, the home is just a 1-bedroom, 2-bath residence. Vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and an open floor plan give the home an expansive feel.

Despite a stroke in 2004, Clark maintained quite a hold on pop culture events in the following years, hosting his New Year’s Eve special alongside Ryan Seacrest annually. And while he sold Dick Clark Productions in 2007 for $175 million to Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder, the Dick Clark brand continues to be part of some of the biggest productions in showbiz. Clark passed away at age 82 in April 2012.

The Malibu listing is held by real estate agentDiane Carter of Coldwell Banker.

A monthly payment on the home is calculated to be $11,648, assuming the home was purchased with a 20 percent down payment and a 30-year fixed mortgage.
