Donald Trump said there are some “bad hombres” illegally in the United States and pledged to build a wall while outlining his immigration plan.
“I want to build the wall. We need the wall,” Trump said.
The GOP nominee accused Clinton of pushing for amnesty and “open borders.”
Clinton said Trump’s wall, which has been a keystone component of his campaign, is “not in keeping with what we are as a nation” and attacked him for deportation task forces.
“I don't want to rip families apart. I don't want to send parents away from children,” she said.
The Democratic nominee pledged to unveil comprehensive immigration reform that includes a pathway to citizenship within the first 100 days in office.
Trump dismissed a pathway to citizenship, saying, “We have some bad hombres here."
