Denise Hazlick has been the lead entertainment editor at msnbc.com since 2003. Before joining the entertainment team, she was a sports producer for four years. Before joining msnbc.com, Hazlick worked in sports for 15 years at newspapers in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Seattle. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from San Francisco State University and is active member of USA Triathlon. She completed her first half marathon in November 2001 and her first sprint triathlon in August 2003. Before 2001, her primary source of exercise was 16-ounce curls and walking upstairs to her office.
